Sustain Plus

Sustainable Energy | Prosperity | Climate Action Sustain Plus is a joint initiative of Social Alpha and Selco Foundation, designed to advance SDG 7: universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy. It is a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform that aggregates philanthropic capital and channels it toward high-impact, scalable solutions that use clean energy to drive development outcomes. Anchored in the power of decentralised renewable energy (DRE), Sustain Plus aims to catalyse meaningful social, economic, and environmental impact—from enhancing rural livelihoods and climate resilience to improving healthcare, agriculture, micro-enterprise productivity, and community wellbeing. Conceived and bootstrapped by Selco Foundation and Social Alpha, and supported by the Ikea Foundation, Sustain Plus is now evolving into a platform for collective action—enabling capital aggregation, outcome-oriented allocation, programme management, and cross-sectoral knowledge sharing across organisations and geographies. By leveraging the innovations, grassroots insights, and deployment learnings of its founding partners, Sustain Plus accelerates the replication and scale-up of proven clean-energy solutions, creating a pathway for long-term prosperity and resilience for underserved communities.
