For people and families who want to make a difference, Sustainable & Salvaged is a eco-conscious beauty and homeware brand that brings sustainability into the everyday. ABOUT US Family is, and always has been, at the heart of the business. From a young age, my grandmother taught me to value my possessions and let nothing go to waste; making the most of what I have has always been important to me. Later on in life, having my son Hugo, and seeing the impact that air pollution had on his allergies, inspired me to make things better. Through the combination of these experiences, together with my passion for creativity, innovation and design, Sustainable & Salvaged began to blossom. WHAT WE DO Furniture is where we spend our everyday. Where we eat and sleep; where we sit down with a good book and a cup of tea. It’s in every corner of our homes and tells us that, that home is ours. Inexpensive furniture often comes at a higher cost to the environment using new materials that consume our natural resources. We didn't want these issues to keep people's homes from feeling homely. We wanted to lead by example to show that it's possible to have it both ways: a happy home and a happy planet. Our commitment to sustainability and dedication to traditional craftsmanship practices are what make our products unique. We find precious resources that would’ve otherwise contributed to landfill and redesign them into something “new”. Honesty and transparency lie at the forefront of our creative processes. We use all-natural, local materials and work with our customers to craft their bespoke pieces. As a family business, creating with a conscience is what comes most naturally to us.
