Svgs Foundation

The mission of the SVGS Foundation is to empower, educate and encourage deserving and committed Black male scholars who choose to attend Historically Black College and Universities. The Foundation's main focus is supporting emerging leaders and deserving scholars by awarding merit based tuition scholarships along with other forms of educational support. These efforts are primarily accomplished through the Walker Williams Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund, as supported through its associated endowment. Additionally, The Foundation supports the communities that are associated and connected with HBCU as well as the communities from whence the scholarship awardees originate. In these efforts the foundation hopes to help young Black male Scholars impact the communities they engage with while taking the first steps to establish a firm financial foundation through educational success. SVGS seeks to create opportunity for the next generation of HBCU alumni in order to bridge the gap between financial access and future opportunities.
