Tamara Lyon

Tamara Lyon officially began her writing career with the release of her first novel, Falling to Him, published by Goblin Fern Press, a division of The Publishing Institute in 2006. A controversial Christian coming-of-age, Falling to Him garnered five stars from Midwest Book Review and was highlighted in the Wisconsin in Words segment on WisconsinEye, a local television station in Madison, WI. Because of the success of Falling to Him, Comfort Publishing, a traditional publisher based out of North Carolina, took an interest in Lyon and offered her a contract for her second novel, Fixing Forever Broken. With the ideal balance of mystery, drama, and romance, Fixing Forever Broken, released in 2009, crosses many genres and appeals to a wide number of readers. In May of 2010 at the Book ExpoAmerica in New York, Fixing Forever Broken earned the bronze medal in the romance category from the Independent Publisher. The Ugly Tree, Lyon’s third novel, debuted in August of 2010. The quintessential first-love story, it’s playfully dramatic and features teenage angst with a cherry on top. Midwest Book Review awarded it five stars and said, “A memorable and dramatic journey from first page to last, The Ugly Tree is highly recommended.” The Ugly Tree has been nominated by three Illinois high schools for the Abraham Lincoln Award and received twelve independent nominations for the YALSA Alex Award.
