Terre Ludique

Terre Ludique is a non-profit popular education organization based in Marseille. It draws on the values of popular education to strengthen social ties, support individual development, contribute to mental well-being, and promote the right to play for all. The association fosters a culture of play as a medium for living together, creating inclusive spaces that encourage encounters, mutual understanding, and cultural openness in a peaceful environment. It uses play—traditional, contemporary, or crafted through artisanal and digital fabrication—as a tool for inclusion, prevention, and civic participation. Through its toy libraries, workshops, and field-based initiatives, Terre Ludique develops an educational, civic-minded, innovative, and solidarity-driven approach, affirming the essential role of toy libraries in building sustainable communities. The association also supports individuals, organizations, and public and private institutions in developing technical skills related to play-based facilitation and game-focused educational practices.
