The Beaverbrook Foundation
The Beaverbrook Foundation is a UK charity, established in 1954 by the first Lord Beaverbrook. Beaverbrook was a giant of the British 20th Century political scene, who owned the Daily Express newspaper group, and among numerous achievements, sat the War Cabinet in both World Wars. The Beaverbrook Foundation supports a variety of causes in the United Kingdom and Canada, including preserving heritage buildings and supporting charitable appeals. We have given three lifeboats the British RNLI, and supported over 400 separate charitable bodies in the last fifty years. The Foundation has also been entrusted with various important collections of art, political cartoons and political papers, which we look after for future generations.
