The Cirkel is a marketplace and community keen to mitigate the damage and issues caused by the fashion industry. Together, we use technology, educate and create new systems that make fashion more sustainable. Clothing and textiles is the third most polluting industry globally. It creates more carbon emissions than both international flights and maritime shipping put together and in the UK we deposit over tonnes of clothing and textiles into landfill every year. 80-100 billion items of clothing are produced globally. The planet simply cannot keep up with the current demand for fashion. When you choose second-hand you can save up to 72% of the impact a garment has on the planet.
