The Coaches' Daughters

We are The Coaches’ Daughters. We’re the girls who don’t like to just sit and watch. We’re the girls you overhear in front of you at the game whipping off stats and facts you didn’t even know. We aren’t the wallflowers and we definitely don’t go unnoticed. But most importantly, we keep it real and we’re here to stay. We are the female voices of the sports and entertainment world. In a male dominated industry, it seems the female perspective on sports continues to get drowned out. Sure, there are female sideline reporters and topic reporters that are female, but that’s only one or two minutes of action. How many women do you see handling play by play or working game commentary? And I don’t mean leading a pre game or post game segment at the desk with the men doing the talking. I mean really getting to sit at the desk with the male anchors/analysts and hang in the conversation with their own opinions and arguments. Put it this way, NOT ENOUGH. We wanted to change that. So here, on The Coaches’ Daughters, you can receive opinions and information on some of the hottest topics in sports and entertainment from a female perspective. But not to worry, we don’t want to kick the boy’s perspective entirely out the door. Because hey, without the boys, who else do we get to challenge? We still wanted some of that “anything you can do I can do better” friendly competition. Our whole lives we’ve been challenged on just how valid our opinions and statements can be simply because of our gender. So a little “battle of the sexes” sports banter is the type of challenge we love to take advantage of. Hell, we look forward to it!
