The Lavender Effect

THE LAVENDER EFFECT® is a nonprofit project of Community Partners. Our movement honors and celebrates LGBTQ+ contributions to society, diversity, and uniqueness. Team Lavender produces Video Histories, Educational Workshops, Cultural Events, Interactive Exhibits, and History Tours that celebrate LGBTQ+ heritage. Learning Queer History can reduce adolescent suicide and empower authenticity. Though our community has made enormous strides over the past half-century, homophobia still exists, and the epidemic of anti-Gay politics and societal backlash. There is an urgent need to document our stories to educate and inform multiple generations about the enormous positive impact we continue to have on civilization.
