The Messages Project

Since the Messages Project has visited state prisons across the United States several times a year to create tens of thousands of videos from incarcerated parents to their children. The recordings are mailed to children and families, often with a book or poems and hand-written messages that may have been read while filming. The mission of The Messages Project is to maintain, or in many cases re-build, the connection between imprisoned parents and the children who are left behind.
