The Playhouse Foundation

The Playhouse Foundation is a non-profit UK based Foundation, supporting young children with autism to achieve their full potential. Using Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention programmes and financial support to means-tested families, we provide a brighter and inclusive future for young children with autism. We work with children from disadvantaged backgrounds whose parents and educational settings are struggling to meet their needs. We improve the functional daily living, communication and interactive social skills of young children with autism allowing them to access a mainstream education. We work collaboratively with our Local Authority to ensure that our programmes fit the needs of the children with work with and provide support within the school setting. Coping with an autism diagnosis can be extremely challenging. Our programmes have changed the life-chances of the young children that we work with an provided them with access to a future where they can understand, interact and engage with the world around them. We are able to provide the stepping stones of delivery from preschool through to the end of primary school for the children that we support. In addition to our bursaries, we offer a range of professional services that have been developed to meet the needs of individuals, families and professional bodies.
