The Polis Project is a New York-based media company and research organization dedicated to documenting state violence, authoritarianism, and communities in resistance. Our projects—such as the Demolitions Project, the Disappearances Project, and Profiles of Dissent—offer alternative narratives and insights into issues that mainstream media often overlooks.
