The Valentine Project

Kindness is Contagious. We Deliver it Nationwide ~ One Child at a Time. The Valentine Project spreads love, hope, and joy to children affected by pediatric cancer or chronic illness, including both patients and their siblings. Founded in 2010 by two teenage siblings who understand how illness touches the whole family, our national nonprofit delivers compassion through meaningful, tangible acts of kindness. Our flagship initiative, the Personalized Package of Love, is delivered each February to children across the U.S. Each child is matched with a donor—their Valentine—who sponsors a one-of-a-kind care package filled with a handmade pillowcase, gift card, book, toys, treats, artisan-crafted gifts, and personalized notes. In 2024, over 850 children received one of these joyful surprises. Support continues year-round through Kindness Cards—handmade messages filled with jokes, riddles, and a bit of joy to remind families they’re never alone. With a small team and a big-hearted community of volunteers, artists, and donors, The Valentine Project delivers emotional support during life’s toughest times.
