The Virtual Vine

After the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the college transition became even harder for first-generation and/or low-income students and international students alike. Without the ability to tour universities and meet current students, the decision process became more challenging than ever. Ryan Afreen and Collin Marlin, two undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania, developed an idea to aid those during this challenging time. Thus, The Virtual Vine was established. A network of ambassadors from various universities across the United States formed to provide first-hand knowledge of college life and resources available to students who may have not otherwise received such information.
