Improv For Life workshops use fun and easy-to-learn improv exercises and role play to teach skills in empathy, communication, conflict de-escalation, and self care. Participants learn how to handle themselves in difficult situations with friends, family members, and others. Students reconnect with themselves and their priorities, in turn making them become better teammates, citizens, and leaders Teachers Chris Griswold and Tarik Davis have a combined 40 years' experience teaching improv in a wide variety of settings that include universities, offices, schools, homeless shelters, and prisons. Davis and Griswold teach lessons in rhetoric, psychology, emotional engagement, understanding social justice and identity politics, and persuasion in a way that’s simple, fun, and useful in students’ lives.
