TMSS is a leading women-focused non-government organization in Bangladesh, with a legacy of driving inclusive and sustainable development since 1964. Reformed in 1980 by visionary leader Prof. Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, Ashoka Fellow, TMSS has emerged as a pioneer of female-led initiatives across Bangladesh and South Asia. TMSS works to alleviate poverty and empower women through skill development, microfinance, education, healthcare, WASH, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, human rights advocacy, and livelihood enhancement, aligning its interventions with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With the guiding belief—“Let Family be the Focal Point of Women Development”—TMSS envisions a smiling face of women-folk and strives to ensure dignity, opportunity, and socio-economic security for women within their families and communities. Today, TMSS supports 8+ million beneficiaries and contributes to the employment of people, delivering impactful programs through clinics, hospitals, educational institutions, vocational centers, development projects, and microfinance services.
