UAV Exploration (UAVEX) is a geophysical services company specializing in unmanned aerial magnetic surveying, with a core focus on locating orphaned and abandoned oil and gas wells. We integrate the latest in lightweight magnetic sensor technology, purpose-built UAS platforms, expert flight operations, and advanced data processing techniques to deliver a complete, field-proven solution for abandoned well locating. As early pioneers in drone-based well detection, we’ve developed proprietary methods and custom-engineered UAS and magnetometer systems built specifically for this work. Our team handles the entire process in-house—from historical research and aerial data collection to interpretation, ground-truthing, and excavation. This end-to-end approach ensures consistent, highly accurate results. Since our founding, we’ve completed well-locating projects across hundreds of thousands of acres in more than 20 states. Today, UAVEX continues to lead the field in precision UAS-based magnetic surveys—delivering the most accurate, efficient, and reliable abandoned well surveys available.
