About Jesse Young

As a Field Data Technician with a strong foundation in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geospatial data management, and field mapping, I bring over five years of experience in both academic and practical applications. My expertise lies in RTK GNSS systems, remote sensing, and data management using Python, which I leverage to optimize workflows and support precision in complex environmental projects. I hold a B.S. in Applied Geographic Technology from Slippery Rock University, where I focused on GIS, remote sensing, and small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). My experience includes conducting extensive data analysis, designing maps, and collecting geospatial data to inform decision-making processes, particularly in government and environmental settings. I have contributed to projects such as identifying orphan wells across the U.S. and supporting UAVEX with remote surveying and mapping. With a detail-oriented approach and strong technical skills, I play an integral role in gathering and processing high-quality data that supports the objectives of both local and state governments. In addition to my technical expertise, I have developed strong leadership and organizational skills through various roles, including team management and coordinating community activities as a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Group Leader. I am passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems and making a tangible impact on my community.
