Urbano Project

Urbano Project empowers urban teens, professional artists, and the community to create social change through participatory works of contemporary art and performance. Professional artists work with Boston high school students in our studio and gallery to create collaborative, public works that invite interaction and conversation. Urbano's Artists' Projects are inspired by popular culture, current events and ideas, local and international history, and our teens' life experience. We believe in mixing media and working across disciplines to communicate complex ideas, and our work often incorporates digital media, public art, installation, and audience participation.
