We offer a continuous dialogue focused on fostering young artists in cultural activities with different levels of entry. With a diverse set of events throughout Brussels and Leuven, we aim to mix artistic profiles, disciplines, and audiences. We do this by placing a key up and coming artist at the influential helm to help us curate, inspire, and bring together three different takes on an “exhibition” throughout one year – providing soil for artistic & public networking, and experimentation in a boundary-bending context-Portraits is a weekend-long arts & music exhibition in its most elegant sense. We ask one promising young artist to host their own exhibition successfully by giving them the expertise, tools, and network through our non-profit organization. We’re bringing together a mix of both starting and established artists across disciplines (from music and performance to paintings and sculptures) in well-known establishments-The Nomadic Exhibition flips the traditional concept around by taking art out of its classical context. Artists get invited to collaborate with locals and to showcase their expertise in and around a lively neighborhood. Artists use this place as an exhibition space where art will be on display throughout the area, on citizens’ balconies and windows to local stores and night shops. By doing so, we aim to bring the chosen neighborhood together and give it more exposure through a collaborative project between artists and locals-GROEF provides partygoers during the casual context of ‘a night out’ with a unique blend of nightlife and (performative) arts. A low threshold to art for a young audience and great soil for young potentials to experiment and grow together with their reach.
