Vertical Slice

Vertical Slice is the UK's first user experience studio to focus solely on improving the quality of video games from the player's viewpoint. In our dedicated studios we observe, record, and analyze the interaction between the game and the player, allowing us to improve our client's games both in terms of review scores and the player experience. By using research from academic disciplines such as Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology, and techniques such as biometric testing, Vertical Slice aim to lead the industry in terms of understanding how players engage with video games. We evaluate the player interaction with games on all major platforms including Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, iPhone, PC, DS and PSP.
