The Vinho Verde Commission is an inter-professional association, created in 1926, to regulate the production and marketing of Vinho Verde wine. Vinho Verde is a Controlled Appellation of Origin. Low alcohol, crisp acidity and delicate floral and fruit flavors make Vinho Verde one of the most versatile, food-friendly and refreshing wines in the world. Its characteristics are naturally produced in the Vinho Verde Region, located in north-western coast of Portugal. Vinho Verde wine is present in more than 100 countries around the world.
