Wankunda Banana

Wankunda Banana Plantation Limited was incorporated on 23rd December 2009. The founders had seen the potential for banana growing because of the favourable climate in Northern Province as well as abundant water and rich soils. Furthermore, the market for bananas was quite promising. The farm is situated 5km off the Kasama/Mporokoso Road, right opposite Kasenga Primary School. The plantation was started with a two hectare of bananas in 2010. This has now expanded to ten hectares with eight in full production.
