Thrashing their way out of Brisbane, WARTOOTH is a high energy, high impact, old school thrash attack! A mixture of melody and aggression, their sound is a culmination of Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault and Testament, with ripping vocals described as “Tom Araya meets Sebastian Bach”. WARTOOTH is explosive on stage, inciting both mosh pits and singalongs alike. Long hair is a must, and a beer is highly recommended. Their debut EP ‘Virus’ [2016] was released to an infectious east coast Australian tour, and it didn’t take the band long to venture further, playing some of Australia’s finest metal festivals including Steel Assassins, Ausocalypse, Shredfest and Bangers & Thrash. In 2017, the band released a music video for single ‘Thrash Attack’ and what followed was a truly epic feat in a 16-date national tour, something quite unheard of in the Aussie thrash scene. WARTOOTH destroyed necks across the nation and cemented their spot as a force to be reckoned with, which followed with a number of international support slots in 2018/9 - Lich King (USA), Ross the Boss (USA), Metal Church (USA) and Voivod (CAN), amongst some very wild headline shows. The band have recently gone through some restructuring ahead of their debut full length album, coming late 2019/early 2020. The album will see Wartooth's sound expand to capture an intense energy true to the thrash metal we all know and love, while pushing the genre forward into the new decade ahead.
