Warzone Initiatives

Warzone Initiatives exists to research, write, consult, and implement initiatives on non-state armed groups to promote peace and reconciliation. We support alternative peace and reconciliation processes. We work to address conflict involving non-state armed groups and have done so in Somalia, Gaza, Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Colombia. We have pursued this end through initiatives including: humanitarian projects for displaced populations; stability programs for populations vulnerable to recruitment; conflict assessments; research projects; peace and reconciliation dialogues; and consultation of non-state armed groups, government agencies, and international organizations.
