Weda Bay Nickel is an open-pit nickel mining operation located region of Halmahera Island in the North Maluku province of Indonesia. Weda Bay is a joint venture partnership between China's Tsingshan Holding Group which is the majority owner, French mining and metallurgy company Eramet and Indonesia State Owned Enterprise, PT Antam. Weda Bay Nickel employs the best internationally recognized mining techniques (storage of tailings, water management and revegetation) is committed in developing safe, responsible and sustainable mining industry.
