World Junior Bbq League

Started by seven-time world barbecue champion Melissa Cookston, World Junior BBQ League introduces teens to competition barbecue helping them develop important life skills including leadership, outcome-based strategic planning, organization, time management, hard work and more! Through inclusion, the World Junior BBQ League will make a difference in our young people by teaching skills beyond the grill. Participation in the WJBL offers an approach to competition bbq that allows all our teams the viability to be that GRAND CHAMPION, by providing meat and tools needed. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment for teens from all races, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds allowing them to express their unique ideas, cultures and experiences. As a member of World Junior BBQ League, our teens get to participate in free BBQ Bootcamps taught by the world's best pitmasters along with competing.
