We are a guest-house located in Kinigi (Northern Province of Rwanda), surrounded by farmland. Named after a plant that symbolizes love and unity, “Umwishywa” was inspired by its surrounding environment and built by local hands; Featuring two cottages equipped with basic amenities and shared spaces (kitchen, living room, attic-rooms), a camping ground on a garden filled with indigenous trees, medicinal plants, vegetables, fruits, spices and a gallery showcasing a multitude of artworks Registered as a community-based tourism initiative, we honor everyday encounters by forging partnerships with members of our community (artisans, farmers, tour guides, business owners, educators) Below are some the activities that we are involved in : Art/Culture (Art gallery exhibitions, Residency programs, Workshops, Storytelling) Agroforestry (Tree planting, Research on indigenous trees/seeds) Sports (Virunga Mountains Hiking, Kigali International Peace Marathon, Nyungwe Marathon, 20k Bugesera, Countryside trails) Youth empowerment and self-development (Job creation, Trainings/Workshops) Whether you come to rest, reflect, create, explore or contribute, Umwishywa Nature Home welcomes you.

Restaurants and mobile food service activities: Running food establishments that serve vegetarian meals, fresh juices, milk, and other healthy, natural food options for dine-in or take-away. Event catering: Providing vegetarian food and beverage services for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and parties, focusing on fresh, natural ingredients. Other food service activities: Engaging in various food-related services like takeout, delivery, or specialty food stands that serve vegetarian, healthy options including fresh milk and juices. Beverage serving activities: Serving non-alcoholic drinks such as fresh milk, natural fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, herbal teas, and other healthy beverages, emphasizing vegetarian and natural products.
