Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre Adndrc
ADNDRC was jointly established by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) in 2002. It was established as a charitable institution in Hong Kong and remains today the same status. Since the inception of ADNDRC, CIETAC and HKIAC have been operating respectively as the Beijing Office and Hong Kong Office of the ADNDRC, providing domain name dispute resolution services under the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). In 2006, the Korean Internet Address Dispute Resolution Committee (KIDRC) joined the ADNDRC and started to operate as the Seoul Office. In 2009, the ADNDRC announced the opening of its Kuala Lumpur Office operated by the AIAC. As of March 2021, the Hong Kong office (HKIAC) operates the Secretariat of ADNDRC. SERVICES As a dispute resolution service provider accredited by ICANN, the Centre administers domain name dispute resolution proceedings through its four offices not only under the UDRP, but also under the following ICANN policies-Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS)-Trademark Post Delegation Dispute Resolution Procedure (TM-PDDRP)-Registrar Transfer Dispute Resolution Policy (TDRP) STRUCTURE ADNDRC is governed by a Council composed of leading professionals who are specialised in dispute resolution, intellectual property, Internet, and e-commerce. Under the ADNDRC Council, there are three committees, namely, the Panel Selection Committee, Business Development Committee and the Standard and Practices Committee. The ADNDRC Secretariat is responsible for the administration of ADNDRC, which includes providing support to the Council and its sub-committees and liaising with the relevant organisations and other stakeholders. The Secretariat is headed by the Secretary-General who will report to the Chairman and the Council.

Ciarb East Asia Branch
Ciarb was founded in 1915 with the aim of promoting arbitration as an alternative method of dispute resolution to litigation. The objectives of the Branch are to provide a regional organisation for Members of the Institute (Fellows, Members and Associates) who are resident in East Asia generally. The purpose is to promote, encourage and facilitate the practice of settlement of disputes by arbitration and other means of dispute resolution, and to support and promote the status and interests of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. This includes:(1) providing education and training in areas including the law and practice relating to arbitration for those practising or wishing to practise as arbitrators; the reading of papers, delivery of lectures, etc.(2) holding demonstration arbitrations and the acquisition and dissemination by other means of useful information connected with arbitration;(3) promoting improvements in the law relating to arbitration and in the general practice of arbitration; and (4) promoting and protecting the interests of the public in relation to the conduct of arbitrations as a means of resolving disputes. The East Asia Branch includes the geographical area of Hong Kong, Mainland China, Vietnam, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, Taiwan and Indonesia. Thailand and Singapore, formerly part of the East Asia Branch, were constituted as a separate branches in 2003 and February 2010 respectively.

We operate as a non-profit making organisation and are governed by a Board of Directors. Our FDRS will facilitate customers resolve financial disputes with their financial institutions amicably by way of primarily “Mediation First, Arbitration Next”. If mediation does not result in settlement, claimants may decide to go to arbitration.
