Ilion Animation Studios
Ilion Animation Studios, based in Madrid, creates state-of-the-art computer animated features, for worldwide theatrical release. Established in 2002 by the founders of the successful video game development company Pyro Studios, Ilion is today lead creatively by Ignacio Pérez Dolset and managed on a day-to-day basis by Jose F San Román. The studio uses purpose-built cutting-edge technology to achieve a unique visual animation experience. Ilion’s first CG animation feature was Planet 51, released in 2009 by SONY in the US over 3,500 screens and subsequently in over 65 countries across the world. This film represented the collaboration of 350 highly talented and experienced artists, program developers, high-tech engineers and other skilled professionals from over 20 countries. The second animated feature film produced by the studio was Mortadelo y Filemón, based on the most successful comic ever in Spain, and released by Warner Bros in 2014. In 2014, Ilion won the contest to create the first high quality animated feature film for the new animation division of Paramount Pictures in US, and commenced working in the production of Wonder Park, feature film which will be released worldwide the 15th of March, 2019. In 2016, banking on the recognition as a premiere animation CGi company in Hollywood, Ilion has signed a multi-year partnership with Skydance Media to creatively develop and produce a slate of high-end animated feature films and television series. Two animated feature films are currently in production. Luck (working title), written by Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger (The Kung Fu Panda trilogy, Trolls), that will be released in early 2021 and the second, written by Linda Woolverton (Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King), scheduled for release in late 2021. Ilion is a proud partner of U-tad the first official-degree, private, European university focused purely on the world of digital arts and technology.

IMAGEEN is an innovative company whose activity is based on the use of virtual and augmented reality in order to offer value-added services. IMAGEEN focuses mainly on cultural tourism, but its business model covers other activity sectors related to training and leisure. IMAGEEN's mission is to recreate places and environments, just as they were in the past, in the very place where their ruins survive today or where we find their remains. The objective is much more ambitious than the architectural recreation of monuments, it is about transporting the visitor to another era, recreating the environment with mobile, immersive and enveloping technology. IMAGEEN has developed its own technological process that allows virtual models developed by computer to be synchronized with reality, on a 1:1 scale. The objective of this process is to effectively develop virtual reality content that allows synchronizing and comparing various eras in the places where the traces of the past remain. Additionally, the company has developed the programming of the computer application Imageen, optimized for the variety of Tablet PCs, Smart phones and virtual reality glasses. All the contents are taken to the practical application (enjoyment by the user) through our own APPs, oriented to the enjoyment of this type of content that mixes culture with leisure and technology. In particular and to fully enjoy 360 and virtual experiences, we rely on mobile devices that allow movement and enjoyment outdoors and especially virtual reality glasses also with mobile technology (deskless).

Leading creative is Rodrigo Blaas, award-winning animator and director, known for his work on Trollhunters, WALL-E, Up, and Finding Nemo. Leading production is Cecile Hokes, producer of the award-winning CG animated short, Alma. In 2017, El Guiri released One Morning, a VR short produced for Lytro. Abraham López, Gerardo Álvarez, and Jorge Medina have built their professional careers holding the highest positions of responsibility in top-quality, high-budget Spanish animation projects such as "Dragonkeeper","Mummies","Klaus", or series like "Money Heist". In 2007, they founded El Viaje Imposible P.C, S.L.(EVIPC), whose first short film,"Blue & Malone. Imaginary Detectives", was one of the 4 nominees for Best Animated Short at the 2014 Goya Awards. With their next short film,"Blue & Malone, Impossible Cases", they achieved even more success by winning the 2021 Goya Award for Best Animated Short, which is a clear endorsement from the public and the industry to the "Blue & Malone" universe. In 2021, they began the research project "Avizor", an innovative recording system based on plenoptic technology cameras, which allows for cost optimization and process acceleration in projects that integrate animation and visual effects with real image, or with virtual production.
