La N.P.D.F. Italia, National Police Defense Foundation è la "figlia" della N.P.D.F. nata negli Stati Uniti nel 1995 e che ad oggi conta più di membri. E' una associazione no-profit che si colloca al fianco delle Forze dell'Ordine, senza alcuna distinzione e che vuole far propri i programmi della N.P.D.F. USA al fine di implementare in Italia quelli che sono i pilastri dell'associazione madre: SAFE COP (poliziotti al sicuro) e OPERATION KIDS ( operazione bambini). L'associazione prevede un quota associativa minima ed annua che servirà, grazie anche alle donazioni che speriamo di ricevere, a completare gli obbiettivi che già sono in avanzato stato di progettazione. Va ricordato comunque, che per poter aderire all'Associazione bisogna obbligatoriamente essere un appartenente alle Forze dell'Ordine e di Polizia Giudiziaria (Polizia di Stato, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Polizia Penitenziaria, Corpo Forestale dello Stato, Vigili del Fuoco e Guardia Costiera) in servizio attivo o in quiescenza. The Multinational Civil-Military Cooperation Group (MNCG) represents the only Operational CIMIC Headquarters within NATO and can be deployed in support of units up to army corps level, with the aid of CIMIC Group structure assets from participating nations. It carries out its task of linking Alliance forces and the civilian environment in two ways: deploying a core group of specialists named “Deployable Module” to coordinate CIMIC Group efforts, and providing specific advice to the Force Commander. The MNCG also represents a Centre for Training, Education and permanent expertise and consultancy in the matter of civil-military cooperation. In this capacity it organizes multilateral adjournment meetings, as well as NATO BASIC CIMIC COURSES, and is constantly in contact with the most important International Organizations and Italian and foreign Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Multinational Cimic Group
The Multinational CIMIC Group is a NATO partner CIMIC specialized unit, projected for the civil-military cooperation at tactical and operational level, to enhance the effectiveness of military operations and serve as an essential forum for CIMIC consultations and as a centre of expertise for CIMIC related matters. MNCG HQ can be tasked by SACEUR with Collective Defense Operations under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty and Crisis Response Operations under non-Article 5 in support of peace and international security. The challenges for MNCG sit within the core functions of CIMIC: Civil Military Liaison, Support the Force and Support Civil Actors and their Environment. MNCG has been taking part in all the missions abroad of the Italian Army since the post-cold war period. In such contexts, MNCG personnel develops an up-to-date and comprehensive Civil-Military Analysis of Complex Environments supporting the establishment and maintenance of a coherent and real-time operational understanding of the civilian situation in order to support planning and the conduct of military operations. Moreover, MNCG is active in all the main NATO and national CIMIC operations and exercises preventing conflict between parties that operate in the same operational area and enabling actors to synergistically combine their unique set of resources to achieve collective safety and security goals as well as their individual organization-level goals. Referring to the educational point of view, MNCG provides a wide range of NATO basic CIMIC courses and is the venue for expertise and consultancy on civil-military cooperation at tactical and operational level, constantly in contact with different stakeholders such as GOs, NGOs, lOs and Host Nation Authorities.

NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) is a multinational Headquarters based in Milan with the main structures located in the "Ugo Mara" barracks in Solbiate Olona. It is a High Readiness Headquarters which can be quickly dispatched to command and control NATO troops on missions within or beyond the territory of NATO member states, for the collective defence of Alliance territory or in pursuit of Alliance, EU or coalition security interests. Thus, NRDC-ITA is an extremely skilled and responsive NATO multinational HQ with Italy as its framework nation, fully contributing to NATO’s efforts aimed at strengthening deterrence and defence, and projecting stability beyond its borders. Lastly, NRDC-ITA is a battle-ready NATO formation that can effectively operate “Everywhere Rapidly” in support of NATO core tasks (Collective Defense, Cooperative Security and Crisis Management).
