Puerto Rico State Guard Command
The Puerto Rico State Guard (PRSG) is a voluntary professional military corps and one of the Major Subordinate Commands of the Puerto Rico Military Forces, which includes the Puerto Rico Army National Guard and the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. The PRSG respond directly to the Adjutant General of Puerto Rico, is commanded by a brigadier general and is composed of main units in San Juan metropolitan area and in the cities of Ponce (South), Mayagüez (West), and Caguas (Center). The Puerto Rico State Guard is among the most active and largest State Defense Forces (SDFs) in the nation with almost 1,600 troops organized in 6 Support Groups, a separate SAR Company, a Military Academy, an Air Base Group and HHQs. The PRSG is the State Defense Force (SDF) of Puerto Rico and have the capability to support the Puerto Rico National Guard(PRNG) Operations in security operations, engineering, transportation, chaplaincy, emergency management, legal, and medical services among others operational areas. As part of the Puerto Rico National Guard Family the PRSG is also known as the State Command of the Puerto Rico National Guard.

Bluewater Defense is a leading manufacturer of uniforms and equipage for the United States Department of Defense. Over the past 30 years, the Company has focused on manufacturing labor intensive, sewn items, per military specifications - successfully completing 75 large contracts, totaling nearly $1B in revenue. Bluewater Defense has produced more than 20 million units spread across various items in multi-year contracts, including 7.2 million combat trousers, 5.8 million coats, 4.6 million duffel bags and approximately 1.0 million GEN extreme cold weather parka’s and trousers. In addition to its contribution as a prime contractor, the Company has also provided significant manufacturing support for Patagonia, New Balance, Drifire, W. L. Gore, Atlantic Diving Supply, Inc.(“ADS”), KDH Defense Systems, Inc, Protective Products Enterprises (“PPE”) and other key vendors supporting the defense industry. Today, Bluewater Defense is mass producing the Army Combat Uniform Trousers - this contract is one of the largest and most important in the industry. Bluewater Defense is a Puerto Rico based company, currently operating with 560 employees in a five-building campus located in Corozal, Puerto Rico. In 2016, the Bluewater Defense developed a joint venture with Advancia Technologies to create Potawatomi Defense, Inc, a Native American 8(a) specializing in manufacturing military apparel. 1st Mission Support Command
The 1st Mission Support Command provides mission command to assigned units of the Army Reserve in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands to ensure unit readiness to deploy to war and successfully execute their wartime missions. Most of the Soldiers of the 1st MSC possess bilingual skills, which brings value to the Army and Joint Force. Organized Reserve units have served in Puerto Rico since 1922 when the 373rd Infantry was moved to the Organized Reserve and headquartered in San Juan. December 1973, the Support Group was placed directly under First U.S. Army. The following year, the 166th Support Group was given full mission control of all Army Reserve units in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and assumed the mission and functions of a major U.S. Army Reserve Command, under First U.S. Army. From September 1990 through October 1991, more than Soldiers were activated and deployed in support of the Persian Gulf War. In the 1st MSC was made up of more than Soldiers. Over the past generation, the command has overseen numerous successful deployments in support of various DoD operations, to include Joint Guard, Noble Eagle, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom."GARITA WARRIORS!
