The day you could have been killed, or were almost killed, but weren’t. It’s the day death came right alongside you, and maybe took some of your friends, but didn’t take you. You may have survived with terrible wounds, maybe wounds nobody but you can see, but the fact is, you survived. The Battle Buddy Foundation was Founded by Veterans to Serve Veterans, and exists to effect long term and tangible change in the lives of veterans of all eras-TBBF is dedicated to making a positive, healing impact in the lives of injured veterans by providing psychiatric and mobility service dogs at no cost-TBBF provides an opportunity for Veterans to “continue the mission” through the personal responsibility of participating in our service dog program, and to "give back" through volunteer work and community events-The Battle Buddy Foundation is also dedicated to educating the public and corporate sectors regarding service dogs and the issues currently facing our nation’s veterans.

The Catalyst

We are combating under-employment among military Veterans through a unique 6-week program. The Catalyst combines traditional in-class education, on-the-job shadowing, business training and intense networking to allow for a successful transition out of the military for Veterans and spouses. Over the length of the program, we teach Veterans how to translate their experience from the military into the benefits they bring to companies. Through this process they gain clarity in what they want to do and where their passions lie. This allows our graduates to retain, or regain, their confidence, find their direction, and most importantly move into their new career at a suitable level for their skill-set. The Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration works to empower our military men and women to live successful, fulfilling lives.
