Global Seating Systems Llc
GSS has the battlefield-proven credentials as a world leader in the development and production of soldier survivability systems for armored and unarmored vehicles. GSS produces the most advanced blast-absorbing and blast-deflecting seating and restraint systems for the latest generations of armored and soft-skinned combat vehicles. These systems not only minimize the impact of a range of kinetic threats, but also protect against the effects of accidents and post-blast dynamics. GSS’s products save lives and reduce injuries in combat, training, and other operational conditions, given that armor alone does not safeguard against the two stages of an explosive blast, and that conventional seating and restraint systems cannot adequately protect troops against the effects of collisions, rollovers, and other incidents. GSS has demonstrated that its technologies — which are advancing constantly — not only can save the lives of troops operating in hostile conditions, they can also dramatically minimize the severity of injuries. This translates into major savings in human terms, and into mission effectiveness: GSS systems enable the job to be completed by troops, minimizing the interference which would otherwise be caused by casualty levels and the enemy’s ability to curtail and divert the troops’ assigned mission. As well, GSS technologies ensure that troops not only arrive safely, but also that they arrive in the best condition. GSS technologies minimize the fatigue of getting to the combat zone. GSS designs and builds complete soldier survivability systems for military vehicles, but it also can inject advanced technologies into existing vehicles, making the bench seating, individual seating, and command and weapons positions more survivable and operationally effective. As a result, GSS is a partner in both the development of new military vehicles and in ensuring that older-generation systems can find a more effective life on the new battlefield.

Louisiana State Guard
The Louisiana State Guard (LASG) supports the Louisiana National Guard (LANG) and the Louisiana Military Department (LMD) during emergencies under the orders of the Governor and Adjutant General. LASG members provide key logistical, operational, and specialized support during natural disasters or significant events. Established in 1942, LASG began with World War II veterans and quickly grew to nearly troops by 1943. Its focus during WWII was disaster response, not war-related missions. The unit was deactivated in 1947, re-established by the Louisiana Legislature in 1974, and revitalized in the 1980s by Major General Ansel Stroud. At that time, LASG focused on supporting LANG through management, logistics, and retired military personnel. In 2005, LASG was mobilized for Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. The disaster severely impacted their headquarters at Jackson Barracks, but operations continued through the 5th Area Command at Camp Minden. By 2018, LASG was officially recognized by the State Guard Association of the United States and founded the Louisiana Military Emergency Management Academy for member training in emergency response. In 2022, LASG Regulation 10-1 was updated, reducing the number of Area Commands from five to four, aligning them with LANG’s major installations and regions, under the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP). LASG expanded to support LANG’s Joint Operations Center in Pineville, Tactical Command Post at GOHSEP, and the Louisiana Military Department. Directorates were formed to recruit personnel with vital skills, including medical, legal (JAG), chaplaincy, and cyber defense. In 2023, LASG restructured, consolidating Area Commands, and positioning new units at Jackson Barracks, Gillis W. Long Center, and Training Center Pineville. Today, LASG remains critical in enhancing LANG’s response capabilities during emergencies.

Marine Executive Association
The Marine Executive Association (MEA) is a nation-wide, non-profit, volunteer organization of former and currently serving Marines who assist Marines transitioning from active duty or moving from one civilian career or job to another. MEA is composed of Marines from all ranks (Officer and Enlisted) and Military Occupational Specialties who have agreed to share their experiences to fellow Marines. In addition to our years of dedicated service advocating for Marines, we provide more meaningful and responsive support to Marines and sailors who served with the Marine Corps and their families during and after their transition from active duty. More importantly, MEA maintains a tradition of Marines helping Marines - as a supporting element of that transition process, renewing the expansion of networks for employment & resource information, a gateway to current job opportunities or career information targeting transitioning Marines in pursuit of their ultimate goals. Connecting a Marine’s talent to job opportunities is what we do best and although we (MEA) do not place Marines in jobs, we do however, through our network of “Marines helping Marines” assist transitioning Marines toward their future transition through: • Resume review • Networking and relationship opportunities • Job hunting tips and tools • Job posting by employers • Resume posting by Marines • Resume and interview coaching by volunteer Marines Since transition plays a critical factor for many Marines, MEA provides a free 120-day membership for Marines in transition from active or reserve service from Private through Sergeant, Lieutenants, and any Wounded Warrior. Check us out at Connecting A Marine’s Talent to Job Opportunities - Marines helping Marines, that’s what we do!
