Start Art Gallery
StArt Art Gallery is a contemporary Namibian art gallery that provides an easily accessible platform for purchasing unique artworks by Namibian visual artists. We work closely with artists to facilitate the development of their artistic and professional practice. StArt Art Gallery also offers consulting services and coordinates various art-related activities. StArt Art Gallery has curated exhibitions in Windhoek, Namibia at its former premises as well as the Goethe-Institut and the National Art Gallery of Namibia.

Susara's Designs
My name is Susara van Niekerk, and I was born and raised in Namibia, Africa, BUT, my art/design journey did not start here. Unlike many artists, I didn't know that I wanted to be an artist/designer until much later in life. I was happily climbing the corporate ladder whilst working abroad when the company I was working for fell into difficult times and I found myself unemployed. I took the unconventional road and started dreaming.and dream big I did. With no former formal art education, I started my learning journey abroad and continued through online courses and tutorials after relocating back to Namibia. For me art/design is a form of communication. One that is understood internationally, throughout all generations, races, countries and languages. Living in Africa, immersed in nature, is not only inspiring, but it has taught me respect, love, compassion and kindness for all living things. My dream is to evoke or share these same emotions through the art that I create. Currently, I am living this dream as I am honored to be the sole artist featured in our local animal rescue group's annual calendar for 2021. I wish that my success story may inspire those who are unsure of themselves or what they can achieve, to follow their dreams.
