The Swedish Academy Of Realist Art
The Swedish Academy of Realist Art (SARA)(also known as Atelier Stockholm) is a school of fine art located in Simrishamn, Sweden. It was founded in 2006 as Sweden's first school of fine art dedicated to traditional, realistic drawing and painting. Students are trained in realistic drawing and painting using traditional techniques and methods of the Renaissance, 18th and 19th century European and Russian academies as well as contemporary methods. The education is a three-year program with a curriculum designed as a systematic progression that breaks down the complex and intimidating challenge of learning to draw and paint realistically from life into practical stages. Each stage requires that the student acquire and demonstrate specific skills before advancing to the next more challenging stage. Students progress in a logical, step-by-step fashion leading ultimately to free and confident painting in oil. SARA is one of only a few serious academies in the world that concentrates on the creation of realistic art.

Danscentrum Syd
English below] Danscentrum är nationell centrumbildning för dans som scenkonst. Danscentrum Syd organiserar professionellt verksamma koreografer och dansare i södra Sverige. Med bas i lokalerna i Mazettihuset i Malmö anordnar vi daglig träning för professionella dansare och workshops och residens för danskonstnärer. Vi erbjuder producentstöd för grupper som producerar egna verk samt bedriver förmedlings- och informationsarbete på regional, nationell och internationell nivå. Danscentrum Syd is a members organisation for freelancing dancers and choreographers in the south of Sweden. Founded in 1991 it currently gathers 90 individual members and 33 self-producing groups or choreographers, active locally, nationally and internationally within the professional dance field. Daily training is offered at Danscentrum Syd within ballet, contemporary, jazz and additional techniques and workshops are organised in collaboration with Dansalliansen. Members can book studios with subsidised rent for rehearsals and will receive access to guidance for work and production, additional courses and coaching within producing. Residencies are offered for members as well as national and international artists in cooperation with a Swedish dance artist. Our goal is to support and strengthen the artists, to further the conditions and distribution of dance as performing arts and to be a meeting place and a hub for the dance field.

Galleri Duerr
Hudiksvallsgatan 6, second floor. Enter from the inner yard. Founded by Deborah Duerr, Galleri Duerr believes art exhibitions are great ways to tell important stories of our time. With a clear vision of making contemporary art more accessible, Galleri Duerr, a member of Svenska Galleriförbundet since March 2020, focuses on intercultural meetings between different art forms, artists and generations—national and international, new and established. Since the gallery’s start, it has had an exhibition program focusing on contemporary painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and design, and is today a living forum for exhibitions and performances in various formats. In our past premises at Linnégatan since the fall of 2018, we were the first gallery in Stockholm to incorporate an art gallery within an office space. In addition to the gallery’s exhibition area of 360 sqm one level down, works were also displayed in the nearly 3500 sqm co-working space in symbiosis with the companies working there. After 3 amazing years at Linnégatan 89B, the gallery moved onwards and upwards. We are very happy to let you know that this move took us to the gallery district at Hudiksvallsgatan in Stockholm. The new space is situated on the second floor at Hudiksvallsgatan 6, which we opened on April 7, 2022, with our first exhibition. We are looking forward to continuing on this new and exciting chapter!

Konstdepartementet vill radikalt förbättra barns tillgång till bild- och formkonst i skolan genom samskapande möten med professionella konstnärer. I mötet mellan konst och skola kan vi tillsammans utveckla den konstnärliga processen till en kraftfull form av undervisning. Vi ser hur skolelevers tillgång till konstens olika språk är beroende av enskilda lärares engagemang, och att bild- och formkonsten ofta är särskilt eftersatt i relation till andra konstformer. Samtidigt ställer samtidens digitala medier hela tiden högre krav på ungas förmåga att förstå och tolka bilder. Konstdepartementet är ett direkt svar på detta. Vi har åtagit oss att ge barn och unga större tillgång till konstens metoder och frågeställningar, och till de viktiga värden som uppstår i mötet mellan professionella bild- och formkonstnärer och elever. Vi är en växande nationell plattform för yrkesverksamma konstnärer som vill arbeta med barn och unga. Vi erbjuder fortbildning och vägledning i att arbeta konstnärligt i skolan, och utvecklar på så vis hur konstnärliga praktiker kan bli del av och berika elevernas skolgång.
