Since its inception, it has been devoted mainly to aviation production, after the Second World War, the company expanded into truck production as well. KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV a. s. is a pressure foundry of aluminum alloys, which offers its customers complete solutions for their needs including development of parts, construction and production of tools, production of casts including mechanical machining and surfacing, if need be. KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV has rich history and its beginning dates back to 1816, when ironworks were founded there. In 1930’s the first pressure die casting machines were installed there, the company bought a patent, and thus the company was the only which obtained the right for sale of machines for pressure die casting in Czechoslovakia and for production of casts produced under pressure. After 1945 the company specialized exclusively in pressure die casting of aluminum alloys. Since 1992 KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV is a family company with purely Czech capital. Family members maintain an active role in the management of the company. Another important milestone in the history of the company is foundation of the joint stock company KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV a.s. as of April 1, 1996. During the fifteen years of its activities the company belonged among respected and competitive companies in the Czech Republic and in the world as well. KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV a.s. currently employs above 800 employees and the annual production being around 10 tons ranks it among the top commercial foundries in the Czech Republic. The main part of its portfolio includes machined casts for automobile industry. KOVOLIS HEDVIKOV a.s. offers, on top of conventional HPDC products, casts produced utilising Semi-solid technology - Rheocasting (SEED methods), and will offer FSW castings joints in a very near future.

Firma založena 3 nadšenci do veteránů. Začínalo se po garážích, každý sám při svém zaměstnání. It started in their garages, each alone after his full time job. The hobby became a passion and working through nights resulted in the cooperation of these three enthusiasts and the subsequent establishment of the company. The company currently has 14 employees. We specialize in grinding, polishing and chrome-plating parts primarily for motorcycles and cars, but we are not afraid of challenges such as strollers, trains, bicycles and more. Despite the time of corona crisis, the strength of the company and its satisfied customers has been shown, thanks to the customers who constantly entrust their often invaluable parts into our hands and are still satisfied with the results. We have an input and output quality control and it does not happen that a part which we do not like goes to the customer.
