Xlspace Ltd
Founder and CEO, Terry Drackett, created XLSpace Ltd as the primary vehicle for marketing the SpaceApps platform. SpaceApps provides an all-in-one approach to Spacecraft design and features a Student and a Professional version. XlSpace is also proud of it's Mission to Mars student programme which enables students to participate in this ambitious project leveraging the power of the SpaceApps platform. The Mission to Mars project offers a unique opportunity for any student engaged in a Bachelors Degree or higher course, with a passion for Space, to let loose their imagination and make a contribution to develop a real mission concept for a Mars Mission. We need a range of skills from specialisms in Space industry disciplines, Life Sciences and C# software development/web-site development. The main requirement for participation is unlimited enthusiasm for Space. Please find further information information about the Mission to Mars project elsewhere on this page. The SpaceApps platform is being developed specifically for multi-field, multi-discipline studies and detailed analysis that require a collaborative approach to problem solving. This approach fits perfectly with the Mission to Mars project, which requires a complex set of skills drawing from a variety of different fields. The phased modular release of the application means that students can take advantage of each new module as it is released and contribute to the design of modules currently under development. Utilising a parallel development strategy, modules still under development with partial functionality can still make a significant contribution to the project and can be brought online as soon as they are available and based on demand. The advantage of the approach is that the platform grows organically with the needs of interelated disciplines developed symbiotically to create a tool that is custom designed by the people that will use it.
