Je založený na tzv. tekuté biopsii neboli vyšetření ctDNA v periferní krvi pacientů s pokročilým nádorovým onemocněním. Účelem testu oncoMonitor™ je dlouhodobé sledování pokročilého nádorového onemocnění pacientů pro časný záchyt případných nově vzniklých nádorových ložisek. Tato technologie je schopna zachytit ctDNA až u 88 % pacientů v pokročilém stádiu rakoviny tlustého střeva a konečníku s přítomnými metastázami v játrech- A Prague-based biotechnological start-up Elphogene, s.r.o. which has been founded as a spin-off from the Genomac Research Institute introduced a project oncoMonitor™ for monitoring circulating tumor DNA (referred to as ctDNA) in cancer patients in 2019. oncoMonitor™ is a new diagnostic tool based on liquid biopsy – screening of ctDNA in peripheral blood of cancer patients. It was developed in the Czech Republic based on ten years of research and collaboration with leading oncology centers. The purpose of oncoMonitor™ is a follow-up of patients in advanced stages of cancer for early detection of newly arising metastatic lesions. The technology is capable of capturing ctDNA in up to 88% of patients with advanced colorectal cancer with the presence of liver metastases.

Jeho posláním je dlouhodobě uchovávat pupečníkovou krev a tkáň pupečníku pro autologní použití a informovat veřejnost o významu a možnosti využití pupečníkové krve a dalších perinatálních tkání a buněk v současné nebo budoucí terapii. Činnost organizace je garantována zakladateli – Ministerstvem zdravotnictví České republiky a Národním centrem tkání a buněk a je pod přísnými legislativními pravidly a kontrolou Státního ústavu pro kontrolu léčiv.
