We are the first and only biotechnology company in Lithuania manufacturing advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) individually for each patient. We develop our products using patients’ own tissues and cells in the manufacturing process, and by addressing the specific needs of each person. All our processes are carried out using the most advanced technologies for somatic cell therapy. We started our business in 2014, after combining the knowledge and long-standing experience of qualified biomedical doctors, molecular biologists and biotechnologists, and establishing an adipose tissue bank. In 2015 we established an ATMP manufacturing site in Vilnius. We have established an adipose tissue bank that is one of its kind in Lithuania, for processing, storage and distribution of stromal vascular fraction cells from adipose tissue. It is also the countrys‘ only tissue bank that carries out activities in premises equipped in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements. Our patented technology of extracted cells from adipose tissue has huge regenerative potential and can restore functions of the damaged tissues. These cells can be used even 20 years after their preparation. We continually keep investing in research related to the production and development of new medicinal products for use in advanced therapies, with the aim to expand the field of personalized therapy in Lithuania. The results of all the scientific research carried out by our scientists are officially published in peer-reviewed journals, and we vigorously participate in projects in collaboration with domestic and foreign biotechnology companies, tissue banks, universities and other scientific institutions.

Vilnius-Lithuania Igem

This year, Vilnius-Lithuania iGEM 2025 is taking on tick-borne diseases. We’re engineering a field-deployable diagnostic tool using the TIGR-Tas system – a synthetic biology-based method designed to rapidly detect tick-borne pathogens, like Borrelia (Lyme disease) and Babesia (Babesiosis). Our goal? To make early detection simple, fast, and accessible – especially in nature-rich regions where ticks pose an increasing health risk to both humans and animals. But science shouldn’t stay in the lab. We’re building an entire synthetic biology movement – sparking curiosity, promoting literacy, and inviting everyone to explore the power of science. Uab Imunodiagnostika

Founded in 2013, JSC „Imunodiagnostika“ focuses on development and production of innovative in-vitro diagnostics solutions in the field of immunology. Our aim is to make diagnostics simple, efficient, accurate and personalized. Our R&D department is currently working on new diagnostics systems based on microarray technology. It is being done in close cooperation with Allergomedica clinic, owned by JSC „Imunodiagnostika“, that specializes exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunological diseases. During the COVID-19 pandemic we leveraged our extensive knowledge of immunodiagnostics in developing innovative quantative SARS-CoV-2 antibody test kits.

Lithempa is the first private cannabis and other plants bioactive components R&D service center in Baltic region. The main activity - R&D (including quality testing), pre/post-processing, extraction and packaging of functional phytocannabinoid products, with a focus on CBD (Cannabidiol).
