Vast Vision Publishing
Make Art. Tell Stories. Together Again. Once upon a time, not so long ago, we sat around the campfire, telling stories and sharing songs. A nobler time when story was free, to be shared, to pass on inspiration from old storytellers to the new, in an era when anything was possible. From a time long before story was owned and hoarded by those who believe the only value of story is in the pile of material wealth it generates for the benefit of one. When story united us, brought us together, to share something greater than ourselves; what we once called meaning. Vast Vision is a patron of the arts, and a patron of story. We serve the storytellers, old and new, artists with something meaningful to say, but who struggle to find the means to tell it. We offer you a place at our campfire, and ask you a simple question: if you could tell your story, what would it be? We are a publisher of the arts, and as a company, offer the services you need to realize a project, to free you from any fears or worries that have kept you from taking a chance on yourself. Be it finances, time or the right collaborators, Vast Vision will understand your needs and make your artistic endeavour a reality. From graphic novels to tabletop roleplaying games, to strange hybrid music album/coffee table art books; Vast Vision is a return to patronage, but in service of you, the creator. Stop selling your ideas to the tycoons. Own what you create, find your love of story again, and let us sort out the details so you can focus on what you should be doing: Telling a story that can change the world. Come, sit at our fire, and tell us a story.

Canreads
Reviews are important for your book's success, whether you like it or not. Asking for reviews can be awkward for everyone—authors, agents, editors, and publicists alike. Still, reviews are vital for a book’s success. With only a handful of slots for the hundreds of thousands of books published each year, securing quality endorsements is tougher than ever. Additionally, the rise of review-bombing and unreliable endorsements on certain social media platforms has made it harder to trust online feedback. A review from a middle-aged true crime author for a YA romance, for example, may not provide meaningful insight for the book’s intended audience. CANREADS doesn’t believe that a review from a well-known author guarantees better sales. In fact, a review from the wrong author can even ruin an author’s reputation, an agent's reputation, and a publishing house's reputation. It's also painful. For every 50 requests sent out, authors get maybe two “I’ll think about it” replies. Most writers are introverts. We’d rather have our head down in the pages than out pounding the pavement, asking for reviews. It's exhausting, to say the least. That's why we created CANREADS, so we can do the work for you. No bias, no review-bombing. What can we do for you? We pair authors with vetted reviewers and industry professionals in their target market. Our network of over 50 reviewers includes avid readers in your genre, book influencers, former and present Indigo employees, and publishing industry professionals who know the market best. Imagine the largest online review site for book lovers, except all the reviewers are experts at book promotion and deeply connected to the groups you want to sell your book to.

Jlrb Press
JLRB Press is a small-run imprint that specializes in poetry, with a strong emphasis on queer and neurodivergent voices and emerging writers. Our imprint came into being when we could not longer deny how difficult and expensive, how impossible it has become for a poet to get a work into print (let alone a first collection—the foot in the door). We know how discouraging it can be to receive form letters that begin with “Unfortunately, we can't place your work in our catalogue.” but never explain why or how we might've missed the mark. We know what it is like to feel frustrated, disappointed, dispirited, to lose courage as the written word flees. For these reasons—and many others— • We take down barriers to publishing creative works of poetry. • We seek out verse that pays attention to rhythm and sound and pushes the boundaries of the familiar. • We guide beginning authors through self-empowering challenges and solutions • We offer professional press services to those who might require them. JLRB Press is located in Nanaimo, Canada on the traditional and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation.

Renaissance Prp
Renaissance was founded in May 2013 by a group of authors and designers who wanted to publish and market those stories which don’t always fit neatly in a genre, or a niche, or a demographic. Like the happy panbibliophiles we are, we opened our submissions, with no other guideline than finding a Canadian book we would fall in love with. Today, this is still very true; however, we’ve also noticed an interesting trend in what we like to publish. It turns out that we are naturally drawn to the voices of those who are members of a marginalized group, and these are the voices we want to continue to uplift.
