La Breda Sistemi Industriali nasce nel 1986 a Istrago di Spilimbergo (PN) come società a responsabilità limitata con la finalità di introdurre nel mercato italiano un prodotto completamente sconosciuto: il portone sezionale. Inizialmente si trattava di reperire nei mercati del Nord Europa, dove il sezionale era ormai conosciuto, i vari componenti del portone, e di assemblarli secondo le esigenze di una clientela che non conosceva il prodotto, ma che comunque, con non poca fatica commerciale si stava poco a poco lasciando convincere che il portone sezionale sarebbe stato il portone del futuro. Nel corso degli anni successivi l’azienda si è dotata di macchinari da essa stessa progettati per abbattere i costi di assemblaggio e poco a poco ha iniziato a progettare e a realizzare da sé tutti quei componenti che prima reperiva nei mercati esteri.
