National Depository Of Ukraine
The National Depository of Ukraine was established according to the Law of Ukraine “On the National Depository System and Peculiarities of Securities Electronic Trading in Ukraine” to ensure the functioning of the common depository accounting system. On December 18, 1998 the Securities and Stock Market State Commission and the National Bank of Ukraine signed the Agreement on Establishing the National Depository of Ukraine. The state registration took place on May 17, NDU’s share capital makes up UAH 103 The State owns 86 % of shares, from them, by the Securities and Stock Market State Commission. Besides, 14 % shares of NDU belong more than 20 to stock market participants of Ukraine. On September 19, 2006 the National Depository of Ukraine (the NDU) was granted a license for realization of depository activity as a securities depository for a term of 10 years by the Securities and Stock Market State Commission.(series AB #189650) Under this license the NDU starts the operational activity, namely safekeeping and servicing of securities circulation on securities accounts and issuer’s operations as to the securities issued. On April 21, 2008, the State Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine granted to the National Depository of Ukraine a ten-year-valid license to carry out clearing and settlement activity.(series AB #397921).

National Securities And Stock Market Comission
According to the Law of Ukraine “On Securities Market State Regulation in Ukraine” the Securities and Stock Market State Commission carries out forming and insures provisions of the single state policy concerning development and functioning of securities and derivatives market in Ukraine, and also co-ordination of State Authorities activities in the sphere mentioned above. The main objectives of the Securities and Stock Market State Commission shall be: 1. to formulate and ensure implementation of a unified state policy for development and operation of the securities and derivatives market in Ukraine, and encourage adaptation of the domestic securities market to international standards; 2. to coordinate state bodies’ activities with regard to the securities market and derivatives market in Ukraine; 3. to execute state regulation of issuance and circulation of securities and their derivatives in Ukraine as well as compliance with legislation in this sphere; 4. to advocate investors’ rights by implementing measures to prevent and eliminate infringements of legislation in the securities market, and to impose sanctions for violations of legislation within its jurisdiction; 5. to foster development of the securities market; 6. to generalize application of Ukrainian legislation to the issuance and circulation of securities in Ukraine, and to draft proposals on amendments to it.
