Temo-Thuo Setho Agriculture For Humanity
Temo-Thuo Setho indirectly means and translates to, ‘Agriculture For Humanity’, which is a civil society organization based in Botswana that was founded by Bojosi Antonette Ncube, a young woman Senior Agronomist, a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellow, Climate Activist and Environmentalist. The organization is aimed at using agriculture for social impact, grassroots community development, and tackling issues of violence against girls and women in rural farming communities, as well as issues of asylum seeking, migration, and displacement. The CSO also exists to nurture intergenerational co-leadership by tapping into Africa’s indigenous knowledge on food and farming systems while raising the next or current generation of sustainable agriculture and food security leaders or activists especially children and youth in rural communities. This community-centric organization is committed to putting a spotlight on the importance of access to nutritious and healthy food as a safety net and how sustainable agriculture is a crucial mechanism to achieving this.
