Wave
Wave provides the most convenient and eco-friendly way to commute in the dense cities of the greater MENA region. We launched in Beirut and are ready to scale across the region. We are driven by our concern about the quality of the air we breathe, the time we waste in traffic, and our lack of daily exercise caused by our current ways of commuting. The Wave electric bicycle subscription is a sustainable solution to these problems we all face every day and is available at a monthly rate that benefits all. We passionately continue to grow and improve our service. We invite you to join us in our mission to make cities move and breath again! The future of the city is bright!

Center For Civic Engagement And Community Service Ccecs
Community Engagement for AUB as a Frontliner The unprecedented scale of destruction of the July 2006 War in Lebanon created a remarkable momentum to volunteer-for-relief among the AUB community and founded a calling that led to a university "Task Force for Reconstruction". After two years of decentralized and sporadic efforts, the Task Force realized the imperative of establishing the Center for Civic Enagement and Community Service (CCECS) in 2008, and to promulgate this concept within the university’s strategic plan. Vision Positioning AUB as a civic convener and frontline responder to societal conflicts and challenges while realizing the potential of university students as change makers in local and global contexts. Mission Leveraging operational research, campus community, and socially responsive partnerships to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while equipping students with professional skills for ethical and effective crisis management. This is reflected in three cross-cutting tenets:*Engaged Scholars Program (ESP)*Fundamentals of Civic Engagement (FCE)*Strategic Community Initiatives (SCI)

Jesuit Garden Neighborhood Gathering
The Jesuit Garden Neighborhood Gathering (JGNG) has come together because of our collective interest in our community. We wish to improve the lives of people and businesses in the neighborhood and take care of our public spaces, especially the Jesuit Public Garden, one of the few green spaces in Beirut. Here, we hope the community can reconnect to nature, connect to each other and feel a sense of ownership over public spaces while acknowledging the history of the garden. Ultimately, we want to leave a legacy for future generations. JGNG aims to support and revitalize the Geitawi neighborhood. By working with each other, we wish to improve the quality of life (health, happiness, and well-being) and social cohesion in the neighborhood, listening to community problems and filling the gaps left by the absence of any public services. We hope to collectively design and manage projects in Jeitawi while raising funds to help maintain public spaces in the neighborhood for everyone to enjoy.
