Expat Spouses Initiative
ESI mission is to build communities, enable global employee mobility, and redefine what it means to be international. We envision a world without borders and a new definition of an international resident of a place. We build communities of empowered people working together to create opportunities for everyone. Our focus is on helping the international spouses of working residents in the Netherlands to integrate professionally. We focus on the professional sphere, because although many initiatives and organizations have responded to the influx of internationals in the Netherlands, they mainly focus on helping internationals to integrate culturally. ESI fills this professional gap. We understand the struggles of the international spouse personally, and are working to create solutions that have a real impact on their quality of life. How do we accomplish this? On the one hand, we work with the community of spouses. We support the spouses to find a job and get adjusted to the Dutch labor market in what we call our “Professional Empowerment Program”. On the other hand, we work with local Dutch people, companies, organizations, and government, to do some collective “place-making” together: Making our cities the international hubs we all envision them to be. Our current community is located in Eindhoven, but we are planning to expand to other locations in the Netherlands. International worker mobility is on the rise not just in the Eindhoven region, but everywhere in the world. Our long-term goal is to be able to eliminate the “problem” of the expat spouse, and prevent it from happening in the first place. We want to make professional integration easy, and we want to involve all of the residents of the region in making it happen.

Mdt Pak De Vibe
Pak de VIBE is een initiatief voor maatschappelijke diensttijd van Lumens, Gemeente Eindhoven, Brainport, Parmant Scholen en Parktheater. Het richt zich op jongeren van 12-18 jaar uit de regio Eindhoven. Ze ontdekken hun talenten en worden er vaardiger in, ontmoeten andere jongeren en volwassenen én doen iets voor een ander. Pak de VIBE werkt samen met vele organisaties in Brainport, waaronder Studio040, Sint Lucas mbo, Bibliotheek Eindhoven, Dynamo, Brainport voor Elkaar, CKE en jongerencentra. Deelname staat open voor leerlingen van alle scholen in Eindhoven. Het project draait op Christiaan Huygens, Praktijkschool, Joriscollege, Van Maerlant, Eckartcollege, Summa, Frits Philips Lyceum en het Antoon Schellens College. Daarnaast zijn jongeren van Commit040 betrokken.

Platform Veilig Ondernemen (PVO) Amsterdam-Amstelland is een samenwerkingsverband tussen het georganiseerde bedrijfsleven, de Amsterdam-Amstelland gemeenten (Aalsmeer, Amstelveen, Amsterdam, Diemen, Ouder-Amstel en Uithoorn), de politie van Amsterdam en het Openbaar Ministerie (OM). Samen werken zij aan een veilig ondernemersklimaat door met elkaar doeltreffende en waar mogelijk preventieve veiligheidsmaatregelen te agenderen en te ontwikkelen. Omdat een veilige (werk)omgeving bijdraagt aan financieel gezonde ondernemingen, maar ook aan een gezond vestigingsklimaat waarin bedrijven, ondernemers en hun personeel kunnen floreren.

Deze groep is speciaal voor vrouwen die nog afhankelijk zijn van drank, drugs, toxische relaties of ongezonde patronen en die verlangen naar herstel én voor vrouwen die werken aan het behoud van een duurzaam herstel. Het is onze missie om vrouwen, die kampen met een ongezonde afhankelijkheid, vanuit verbinding te helpen de moed te vinden om te kiezen voor herstel, waardoor ze zelfliefde en zelfcompassie vinden. Onze visie is dat elke vrouw altijd de MOED waard is; elke vrouw verdient het om authentiek te zijn in al haar kracht én kwetsbaarheid.

Stichting RegioMarketing Toerisme (RMT) Noordoost Friesland bestaat sinds 2014. Dat jaar is besloten om de verantwoordelijkheid van regiomarketing voor de recreatieve sector bij de toeristische ondernemers neer te leggen. De gekozen vorm hiervoor is een overkoepelende stichting, bestaande uit toeristische samenwerkingsverbanden, platfora en netwerken. Het doel van Stichting RMT is de regio Noordoost Friesland met al haar kwaliteiten op de kaart te zetten (marketing) en de gasten in het gebied van goede informatie voorzien (gastheerschap). Dit doen we met de positionering ‘Land in Friesland – Welkom aan het einde van de wereld’. Aanjagen, verbinden en coördineren; dat zijn de zaken die Stichting RMT oppakt. De Spinnen Liesbeth Schievink en Adriana Visser zijn hiervoor de regiocoördinatoren en voeren het, samen met ondernemers, uit.

Het Verhaal Van De Bijbel
Wat geef je iemand in handen die wel benieuwd is naar de inhoud van de Bijbel? Een collega of een schoondochter bijvoorbeeld? Of iemand die verder wil na een eerste kennismaking met het geloof? De meeste mensen zijn niet gewend om veel te lezen. De Bijbel zelf is dus veel te dik en te moeilijk. Maar je wilt een volwassene ook geen kinderbijbel geven. Alsof christenen in kinderverhalen geloven. Als predikant in de Nederlandse Gereformeerde Kerken is Erik Dwarshuis enthousiast voor het doorvertellen van de inhoud van de Bijbel. En hij is er ook goed in om dat helder en samenhangend te doen voor de gewone man. Dit doet hij in al zijn werk vanuit de overtuiging dat het verhaal zoals de Bijbel het zelf vertelt ook vandaag de dag prima standhoudt. Zonder zich doof en blind te houden voor het huidige wetenschappelijke debat, wil hij dit verhaal blijven vertellen. Al meer dan tien jaar geleden begon hij te broeden op een eenvoudige navertelling van de Bijbel, maar dan wel voor volwassenen. Want die is er nog niet. Met Het verhaal van de Bijbel komt deze wens eindelijk tot vervulling.
