Spring Initiative
Spring is an initiative to equip young people with the essential skills to navigate the digital landscape. This program introduces young kids to computer basics and programming, paving the way for a generation empowered to thrive in this evergrowing digital era. With a team of 6 students from Rwanda Coding Academy, we started with 18 children from Nyabihu and plan to expand our horizons.

By offering comprehensive training programs, fostering a nurturing community, and creating sustainable employment opportunities, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and build a more equitable and inclusive society. Through the power of art, we believe in harnessing creativity, resilience, and the transformative potential of craft to make a positive impact in the lives of women and communities around the world. Beyond just teaching crochet techniques and art in general, we offer mentorship, support, and a nurturing community where these women can thrive and build confidence in their abilities

Tanga Community
Tanga Community, a social enterprise by SPECTRA CBC, was founded in 2016 by Young Rwandan feminists to work on Sexual and reproductive justice challenges faced by young women and girls in all their diversity in Rwanda including socio-economic and climate justice issues and to bridge inter-generational knowledge gaps and challenges faced by diverse women and girls. Mission Statement Tanga Community is a Rwandan initiative grounded in Pan African feminists’ principles and values that aim at steering diverse women, girls and young people’s actions for realization of comprehensive bodily autonomy and a dignified life. Vision A Rwandan society in which rights of diverse women, girls and young people are realized, where they are free from violence and discrimination, are empowered to participate fully and effectively in the decisions that affect their lives and livelihood and contribute meaningfully to sustainable thriving and wellbeing of their communities and people.
