For over a decade, Saticoy has been designated by the USDA as a low-income, low-access census-tract, otherwise known as a food desert. Saticoy Food Hub is dedicated to serving its community by expanding food access to the residents of Saticoy and its surrounding neighborhoods. United Cambodian Community
The United Cambodian Community (UCC) provides culturally competent social services to the Cambodian community in Long Beach, home of Cambodia Town, the largest population of Cambodians in the nation. In the early 1980s, over Cambodian refugees immigrated to the United States as survivors of the Cambodian Genocide. From 1975-1979, the Khmer Rouge killed over 2 million Cambodians, while survivors endured slavery, torture, starvation, rape, and other major traumatic experiences. UCC was established in 1977 by a small group of Cambodian refugees to integrate Cambodian immigrants into Long Beach by providing housing, economic, and benefit enrollment support. Since then, UCC has developed into a multi-service agency providing youth development, workforce development, gang prevention, and mental health services to address the changing needs of the growing Cambodian population. Currently, UCC’s mission is to elevate the Cambodian community through local engagement and leadership that embodies Cambodian cultural values. UCC has four strategic program areas: Health Equity, Youth Enrichment, Community Integration, and Economic Inclusion. We Are The Dead
We are the Dead is a sister organization to Flanders Fields, to carry their mission to those encountered on the streets, on the dope track, in the prisons and in the hell of addiction or sex trafficking who aren't veterans. Nobody on the Flanders team will step over the dead bodies of civilians to save a vet, but within the confines of the charter, funding can only be allocated to veterans. The need to stand up a second org focused on non-veteran funding for rescues and recoveries was immediately apparent, and to date, the Flanders team has been funding these efforts out of their own pockets, but no more! We are the Dead gets it's name from the same poem by LtCol John McCrae that Flanders Fields got it's name from, which reads in part:" We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields." We are here to restore life to those who were once dead to their addictions and the streets, for we were once the dead ourselves.

We believe everyone deserves compassion and understanding, no matter what. WHAT WE OFFER Medical Services Clients receive pregnancy testing and limited ultrasound services at no cost. These services give clear information about their pregnancy and help each person understand their options. Decision Support Our trained advocates provide one-on-one mentoring in a non-judgmental environment. Each person receives the time and space to explore their situation, ask questions, and make decisions that are right for them. Parenting Education Our evidence-based parenting classes cover infant care, child development, nutrition, and healthy relationship building. Parents gain practical skills and confidence whether they're a first-time parent or adding to their family. Material Assistance We provide diapers, formula, clothing, car seats, and other essentials. These resources ease financial strain during pregnancy and early parenthood. Emotional Support Programs Our recovery programs offer healing support for individuals processing past pregnancy loss experiences. Clients find a safe space to address grief, trauma, and complex emotions with trained counselors. Youth Education We deliver sexual health education to students in schools and community settings. Students receive medically accurate information about anatomy, relationships, and decision-making. OUR IMPACT Clients who come to us receive personalized support tailored to their circumstances. Many arrive feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, and leave with info, resources, and support to navigate their next steps.

Climate Resilient Communities
Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) is a community-based organization dedicated to serving the underrepresented through empowering community voices to implement climate solutions that bring about unity and resilience. In the Bay Area, as throughout the world, under-resourced communities are disproportionately vulnerable to climate change impacts. Since 2016, CRC has been on the ground learning the specific needs of residents in diverse, under-resourced communities in East Palo Alto, Belle Haven (Menlo Park), and most recently North Fair Oaks. CRC's work is comprised of 3 core areas: Community-Based Adaptation Planning, building Resilient Homes and carrying out Climate Action Education. CRC community-based adaptation planning focuses on creating feasible programs that address community priorities to respond to climate change events (wildfire smoke, extreme heat, etc.) and sea-level rise. CRC is currently working with and managing the North Fair Oaks Climate Ready Team and the East Palo Alto Climate Change Community Team. With community-based adaptation the CRC takes a city-wide focus on adaptation and resilience planning. CRC’s Resilient Homes focuses on the individual rather than citywide action. Since 2016, CRC has been working with many organizations to enroll eligible low-income homeowners in EPA and Belle Haven in free solar, home repair, and weatherization programs funded by the State of California. In 2019, CRC, as an Acterra program, partnered with Oxford Day Academy, Green Ninja project, San Mateo County’s YESS program, Grassroots Ecology, and Stanford to pilot the Earthwise Kids program. The goal of the Climate Action Education program is to build on existing programs to provide more opportunities for youth engagement and training for youth and their families.

Fulton County Regional Spca
Fulton County Regional Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Regional or FCRSPCA, for short) had its humble beginnings as Regional Animal Shelter, which was founded in 2002. Regional started as a grassroots group of dedicated animal advocates whose primary goal was to design, construct, and staff a new state-of-the-art animal shelter to serve our region. Our current location, at 117 West Fulton St in Gloversville, opened in May of 2012 and is 576 sq ft, has 8 kennels, and no safe space for other species of animals. We are 100% volunteer-run, and we receive no funding from government or national organizations (i.e. ASPCA, HSUS, etc.). In 2018, the decision was made to reincorporate as an SPCA to better serve the neediest animals in our community. Reincorporation was finished in 2019 and we began full operations as FCRSPCA in January of 2020. In 2025, we purchased a building to retrofit into an animal shelter to better serve the needs of the animals and people in our community. FCRSPCA is more than “just an animal shelter” – we can be found doing many other things to make a difference in our community. • Our Pet Food Pantry helps our community feed their pets to keep pets in homes and out of shelters and distributing. • Our R.A.S.E program educates our youth, in both classroom settings and in our Junior Intern program. • Our Safe Haven program houses pets of domestic violence survivors while they seek support and safety. These programs, and others, will be expanded once we are in our new facility.

Open Gym from the early days of Love City has now grown into a full community school called Mighty Oak Academy. The fish fry that started in the back of the gym grew into a full restaurant for several years.
