We founded the UK’s first festival of pervasive games in 2007, and since then we’ve been creating social games and playful experiences for clients in the commercial, public and cultural sectors, as well as producing our own projects, like the might Boardgame Remix Kit, which turns the old games you've got into new games you'll Recently, we collaborated with AKQA to make the award-winning 221b.sh for Warner Bros - a two-player co-operative adventure game which acted as a prequel to the bilion-grossing Sherlock Holmes movie. Our first iPhone project was Tate Trumps, a commission from Tate Modern for a game to be played within the gallery space, which asks you to collect artworks in one of three modes. Battle mode has you seaching for artworks you think would be good in a fight, Mood mode requires pieces which are particularly menacing, exhilerating or absurd, and Collector mode asks you to put together your own perfect home art gallery. Then, test you selections against your friends in a simple, strategic game of trumps.

PaperSeven is an independent games development studio based on the South coast, UK. We are veteran developers and have developed across all platforms, and many genres. As well as developing our own games, we've developed numerous titles for external publishers. In recent years we've worked in-house on long-term co-dev partnerships for a number of larger studios, including Take Two's Hangar 13, Sony's Media Molecule, and Keyword's Electric Square. The studio was set up in 2011 by three senior members of Black Rock Studio, who between them have sixty years' experience making games! Many others in the team of 10 have over ten years' experience. One of our most notable releases was the first-person, story-driven adventure game, Blackwood Crossing. Released in April 2017 on PC, Xbox One and PS4, the game won UKIE's 'British Game of Show' at Gamescom 2016, and was nominated for Best Writing and Best Animation at the 2017 Develop Awards. More recently we worked on Detonation Racing for Apple Arcade (with Electric Square) and a number of unreleased titles for Hangar 13.
