Through our commitment to sustainability, we intend to attract inflows of both national and international funding for biodiversity conservation and nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation, through carbon financing and investments by businesses that are committed to the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance.

Malaysian Conservation Alliance For Tigers Mycat

Founded in 2003, MYCAT emerged as a pivotal platform facilitating communication and collaboration between the Malaysian government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with a shared objective of the conservation of Malayan tigers. The founding members include the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia (DWNP), Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), TRAFFIC, and WWF-Malaysia. In subsequent years, the alliance expanded with the inclusion of Wildlife Conservation Society-Malaysia in 2005 and Wildlife Society of Selangor (WILD) in 2017. In the subsequent decade, MYCAT has evolved to engage members of the public for a greater stride towards the recovery of wild Malayan tigers through its Citizen Action for Tiger (CAT) and Community Ranger (CR) programmes. WILD is a non-profit charitable organization, administers and implements all MYCAT programs in compliance with Malaysian laws.

Hutan is a grassroots research and conservation organisation established in 1998 in the Kinabatangan floodplain of Eastern Sabah. Over the years, we have built a team of over a hundred staff from the Orang Sungai community, working with remarkable dedication and expertise to safeguard their natural heritage. From long-term biodiversity research and monitoring to habitat protection and restoration, environmental education and conservation planning, Hutan works to preserve wildlife and ecosystems across the Kinabatangan landscape and beyond. Our holistic approach integrates science, stakeholder engagement and locally rooted conservation solutions.
